Christian Grave

Christian Grave studied business administration at Friedrich-Alexander University in Nuremberg, with extended stays in France and Sweden. Between his two stints at Oracle, he worked for the United Nations development program in Malawi. This diverse background shapes his perspective: commercially savvy, internationally minded, and with an understanding that behind every license agreement there are specific interests and people.

His areas of focus include defending against Oracle audits, negotiating Oracle contracts, and trading in used Oracle software. He specializes in particular in the transition from Oracle Java to Azul, as well as in defending against Oracle Java audits, which have become a cost risk for many companies due to the “Employee” metric.

Another area of interest is arranging support for end-of-life software. Here, he protects companies from security vulnerabilities in software that is no longer supported and from excessive costs for expensive end-of-life support.

In audits and negotiations, he represents clients exclusively. The goal he pursues in every case: minimal costs while ensuring full compliance.

In addition to German, his native language, he speaks business-level English as well as fluent Swedish and French. This is a significant advantage, particularly in Scandinavian cases.
